Scald End Farm

Yesterday I spent a lovely day at Scald End Farm Craft Fair and farm open day in aid of Help for Heroes

I abandoned my stall to take pictures as much as I could but it was a busy day so there was much more that escaped my camera!

There was so much to see and do here is just a taster:

Well lets start with taste and the most delicious food from Tastebox. Cate prepares a selection of delicious homecooked meals which are packaged, frozen and delivered to your door, ready for you to pop in the oven or microwave. Wonderful food using locally sourced ingredients (apart from the fish seems as we are rather landlocked in Bedfordshire!) which are nutritious and healthy. Have a look at her website to see the full range of meals available.

This gorgeous button heart is made by Julie at Pretty Different where she enjoys 'twiddling about with lavender' and produces some lovely decorative items including toleware in the traditional canal boat painting style.

The tractor was busy all day taking cartloads of people across the field behind us to see what they could see.

Some of the little feathered ones watching the days events.

We had sunshine by the bucket load!

And lots of lovely goodies to eat and drink (there was Pimms and it looked fab but alas I didn't get there to sample a glassful)

A chance to brush up on your archery skills.

All accompanied by music.

Or you could just watch the donkeys go by!

It was a thoroughly British day out with bunting waving in the breeze and

the most fragrant strawberries!

And last but not least the end of the day cleaner uppers!
Thank you to everyone at Scald End Farm for making yesterday such a lovely day out for stall holders as much as visitors! I don't really live far enough away but I would still consider staying in one of their 18th centuary barns which have been converted into self catering accommodation. I'll be popping back to see the donkeys most definately!
I hope you all had good weekends, still to tell you about our car scavenger hunt we did on Saturday yet, but that can wait a while. Take care all, til tomorrow

How envious I am of your wonderful day out!
I think craft fairs are such fun!

My friends and I are going to a craft fair/farm event at Hatfield House next Friday and I am very much looking forward to it!
